While it is known that Class C Detroit Edison is a key small-school representative in for the Metro area, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes is that team in Class D.
This could be a monster year for the Lakers as many key pieces return from last year’s quarterfinal team. Tiffany Senerius returns as after being the top scorer a year ago as a junior, and depending on how things go this winter, she could get a Miss Basketball nod. Kayla Sanders is a 5-8 senior who plays with great length on defense and solid shooting range on offense.
Catherine Weddle can be a key guard/forward for the Lakers if her knee injury issues from last year stay behind her. Also, 5-foot-9 sophomore Isabelle Kline returns after an excellent freshman year and should be a load for fellow Class D programs to handle.
