At the MHSAA invite on Friday October 25, Junior Bailee Pfahl medaled & earned a spot at the State meet for the 3rd time in a row. She had her personal best for the season & came in 12th overall. Senior Noah Rodriguez also medaled with a 14th place overall finished & after 4 years of trying, earned a trip to the State meet. The first time a boy from Lakes has competed at the State Meet in 6 years.
For the girl’s team, Helen Schneider & Grace McCarthy achieved personal best times for the season. For the boy’s team, Chris Cempura, Jake Lowry, Hayden Fulford, Dominic Luchi, Edward Rapa, & Kevin Conway achieved personal bests for the season.
The MHSAA State meet will be held on Saturday, November 2, at Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn, MI. Bailee will be representing Laker Girls Cross Country at 9:30 a.m. while Noah will be representing the Laker Boys at 10:50 a.m.
