The DIA trip was so fun! We got to see the Detroit After Dark exhibit which showcased photographs of the city at night. I saw a photograph of a lone car in the middle of a flooded road, and one with very cool graffiti. Another part of the exhibit was where they showcased older photographs taken of Detroit and they were displayed in glass cases.

My favorite part about the trip was the Diego Rivera mural in the middle of the museum. The scale of the mural is breathtaking and to think that someone could express so much life and color into one piece of art just blows my mind. Every space on the wall had a story and place in Detroit’s history. The vibrant hues mimicked our city’s rich culture and to me, that was the best part.
