2000 Crosses Display

Our Lady of the Lakes had the honor of hosting the 2000 Crosses Display. The 2000 white cross are a stark reminder of the 3000 babies aborted each day in the United States. This display is made possible by the Oakland Chapter of Right to Life/Lifespan and is a travel. Doug Ritter coordinated the display and requested help from our secondary school. The varsity football team and several middle school students helped pound in the crosses and the varsity volleyball team assisted by two 8th grade students packed up the crosses. The crosses were passed on to St. Joseph in South Lyon. The 2000 Crosses display will remain with them for the next two weeks. This project reflects the belief in the value of human life from conception to natural death.

Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School is a Pro Life School. This was demonstrated by the students assisting with the Crosses and the many years of participating in the March for Life in D.C. Consider sponsoring a student for the January 2019 March for Life. The cost is $170 and a check can be made out to Our Lady of the Lakes. Thank you for supporting our youth, especially in October which is Respect Life month.
