The Our Lady of the Lakes philosophy is built on our Catholic tradition and teachings as our program strives to live out our parish mission. It is our goal to assist in, and promote your family’s active participation in our faith community, to assist the children and families, in their spiritual, intellectual, and social growth. We strive to support and provide assistance to the parents; the primary example and witness in your children’s faith journey. We pray that every child will experience the love of Jesus Christ through those involved in our program, as we foster respect for one another.
Families must be registered parishioners of Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Daniel, St. Anne, or St. Rita to register for classes.
Faith Formation begins in first grade and runs consecutive years through 8th grade.
Sacramental preparation is a two-year process; please register your first grader if you wish for
him/her to celebrate First Eucharist in second grade. Once your child has celebrated First Communion they are expected to register and participate in Faith Formation Process through 8th grade.
We offer two Family Processes; a Monday night process and a Sunday process. Our
Monthly Monday Family Process gathers twice a month from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. All families on
Monday will gather in the parish hall for prayer before the students depart with their catechists to their grade level classrooms and the parents stay gathered for adult enrichment. We will end the evening all together with prayer at 7:30 PM. Weekly chapters are completed online and submitted for the two weeks that we are not gathered. On the second gathering of the month, parents will drop their student(s) at the front door of the school by 6:00 PM and pick them up at 7:30 PM.
Chapter lesson plans will be provided for the weeks that we are not gathered to help support the parents.
Our Sunday Family process meets once a month; your family will celebrate Mass
together at our 11:00 AM Liturgy, all will enjoy a meal, the children will go to their grade level
class and a parent will stay gathered for our adult enrichment. We will end each monthly
gathering with prayer and departure by 2:00 PM. Weekly chapters are completed online and
submitted for the weeks we are not gathered.
Chapter lesson plans will be provided for the weeks that we are not gathered to help support the parents.
