Welcome New Teacher Tanya Blaine!

Tanya is being welcomed into Our Lady of the Lakes with 27 years of educational experience both in the classroom and as a building leader.  She is beyond excited to have the opportunity to return to the classroom in such a nurturing and student-centered environment.

Tanya is married and a proud mother of three children (two young adults) and two fur babies. She grew up and raised her children in the Lapeer community.  Tanya graduated from Lapeer West, received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Michigan-Flint and a master’s in educational administration from Michigan State. 

Tanya enjoys traveling, boating, watching her kids play sports and hanging out with family and friends.  Education has always been her passion.  This opportunity to further serve the Waterford community and the families at Our Lady of the Lakes is truly a blessing in her eyes.
