Reason for Nomination: Abby is a hardworking vocal leader for her team. She has led the team in aces and digs the past month. Abby pushes her teammates to do better at practice everyday.

CYO: Luke Ronquillo

Grade: 8th Grade

Sport: 7/8  Football

Position: Safety, Wide Receiver and Tackle

Reason for Nomination: Luke Ronquillo has been an integral part of the 7/8 football team’s success. He has two interceptions and a TD in a crucial OT win over the Ann Arbor Saints and then helped clinch the game with a key interception the next week against Cabrini, a victory that clinched a playoff spot for the Lakers.

In addition to these achievements, he’s shown integrity and teamwork in learning to play multiple positions and becoming a key leader on the team.

Student-Athletes who demonstrate Laker FAITH will be honored by our school each month. One student from each division will be nominated by coaches and selected by administration.

Fortitude – Standing strong in the face of difficult challenges, personal or otherwise. Fortitude is a physical or mental strength in the face of adversity.

Achievement – Individual accomplishment for a student-athlete.  

Integrity – Showing the ability to make positive choices, and demonstrating an ability to do what is right.

Honor – Representing OLL and being a role model for what we stand for in our School, Parish, and the Catholic Church as a whole.
